Judy has been a Registered Dietitian in Canada for 25 years. Clients she has worked with in hospitals, long term care facilities, home care, and outpatients have been her best teachers.
In 2015 she returned to University to complete a Master’s degree in Adult Education. She took that time to think deeply about how people learn to live well with food allergies and food intolerances. What really stood out for her was how people who were thriving believed their ability to live well was closely tied to the support they had from their family, friends, community, medical staff, and online groups. They also looked for meaning in their struggle; that made the journey a little easier. Coming to a place of wellbeing is a journey.
Judy hopes to be able to create the conditions within the counselling environment to help clients navigate their own path to wellbeing.
