With over 15 years as a dietitian and extensive knowledge in allergies, digestive disorders, and elimination diets, I am passionate about helping people expand their food intake safely and mindfully. I also live with food intolerances and allergies myself.
Diagnosed with a peanut allergy at age 3 and many food sensitivities in the years that followed, I was attracted to the food and health care field. I have gained much insight and experience from working with people with restrictive or elimination diets and have successfully helped hundreds of people successfully add foods back into their lives.
Originally from Newfoundland, I completed my Nutrition degree at Acadia University in Nova Scotia and my dietetic internship at The Moncton Hospital in New Brunswick. Along with food allergies, I have also worked athletes on training diets; school age children in a breakfast program; clients with bowel disorders; and patients in acute care, trauma, ICU, surgery, and long term care.
I can be often found with my two children, husband, and yorkie puppy walking in the woods or exploring one of the many sandy beaches in Newfoundland.
