When food becomes a source of stress, it’s easy to become overly focused on getting the exact nutrients to heal your body. Eating can start to feel more about “what I should do” than about flexibility and enjoyment.

Sometimes it helps to step back and take a broader view of nutrition. Many people begin the program worried that their restricted diet isn’t providing enough nutrition. In reality, most are meeting their basic nutrient needs and would benefit from releasing that worry. While variety is wonderful, it’s not essential for good health—many past generations thrived on far simpler diets than what we have today.
