At first, I thought, “What have I done? Why did I do that?” and started to feel sick, but I used those nine strategies to respond, rather than react and was able to move through it and feel fine.

I went to a movie with a friend a week ago, and I get what you mean by feeling normal again. I didn’t eat anything, but it was good to get out. My friend invited me to her place for supper and was sweet to ask what I can eat. Normally, I don’t trust anyone to get it right, but I think this would be a first good step.

Elimination diets have been a problem for me as well. After reading stories about how much better someone felt after following one diet or another, I wanted to try to see if I would feel better as well. My symptoms are up and down, so it was hard to tell.

I would like to get out of the house, so I am planning to invite a friend to see a movie.

In the last few years, since I have started following my elimination diets, I have not been socializing as much. I haven’t started, but I would like to make more effort to see some friends.

I never thought of it that way, but it does reduce the uncertainty.
