It sounds like the crackers are a great addition to your meal planning!
April 1, 2026 at 11:37 am #13695Try freezing them individually, then you can take one out at a time.🫐
March 24, 2026 at 5:27 pm #13685That sounds like a wonderfully mindful, intuitive approach to eating.
March 23, 2026 at 4:14 pm #13683That is a great (and common) question. Yes, I would suggest waiting until you start to feel better. A cold is enough to deal with, 🤧 without adding the extra work of food reintroductions.
March 20, 2026 at 9:12 am #13673I love those examples – Clare! And you hit the nail on the head with ……even though they don’t fit into my food rules because they bring me joy and connection.
Just as you said, when people have been caught in the C-FAST for a long time, finding the connection between food and pleasure is very difficult.
March 18, 2026 at 9:50 am #13670It doesn’t sound strange at all! You are rekindling pleasant associations with food.

March 17, 2026 at 11:22 am #13666We all get set in our way, and shaking up our routines with something different can be refreshing. Did you have a chance to take a picture and save it in a “Happy Food Memories” album on your phone?
March 17, 2026 at 11:20 am #13665I give specific guidelines (i.e. start reintroduction on Week 4), so participants have a structure. But everyone charts their own path! ❤️ I’m glad you enjoyed the hummus.🎉 You can make (or purchase) many different types of hummus – and it freezes beautifully. It may open up many new mealtime possibilities. Check out – Pulse Dip – in the Simple Flexible Recipes (Bonus Resources).
March 16, 2026 at 3:48 pm #13658Excellent – I’m sure you’ve seen it, but if you haven’t, check out my Creative Ideas article.
“Shaking up,” your usual routine can get you out of the “food boredom rut.” When you start to look forward to an interesting meal, your associations with food (and eating) start to change.
March 16, 2026 at 3:43 pm #13657Those are great steps toward Fostering Food-Pleasure Associations. It takes time!
March 13, 2026 at 9:23 am #13640There’s so much fear-mongering about food that the belief/feeling that food is “bad” can seem like a reality, rather than a misperception.
March 13, 2026 at 9:19 am #13639It does not sound odd at all!🌷 I am repeating a story from the course, but I used to have high levels of dental anxiety (developing this course has helped me work through it). Any sensation in my gums would “sound the alarm bells,” and I would be concerned that I needed more dental work.
March 12, 2026 at 10:07 am #13633This is a common way that Food-Illness Associations develop. The low FODMAP diet can be helpful, but it can easily lead to a slippery slope into the C-FAST cycle if someone is doing it on their own, without help from a registered dietitian (or other professional support).
